If you are trying to be more efficient at work, you may be curious of ways to maximize your time and lower your costs. Jester and I certainly value the importance of multitasking, but sometimes this just isn’t an option. For example, you can’t be emailing someone while your are actively engaged in a phone call. Finding a delicate balance may be difficult to do, but we want to help you tackle this very issue.
Easiest way to Lowering Costs
There are many ways to increase cost-effectiveness, but one of the best ways is through conference calling. Instead of having to pay for travel costs, you have the ability to discuss necessary items from the comfort of your office. If you are needing to talk to someone across the country, why spend hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars on air travel and hotel fees, when you can schedule a conference call. Conference calling has revolutionized how businesses operate and have minimized the need for business travel.
Easiest Way to Maximize Your Time
The other benefit of conference calling is that you reduce the time that would have otherwise been wasted without it. Conference calling allows you to talk to multiple people at the same time. One alternative would be to call each person individually and try to accomplish the same agenda over and over. Yet, how are you going to manage dialogue between colleagues. If the second person you talk to brings up an issue or point worth discussing with the person you already talked to, that means another phone call. Instead playing a ridiculous game of phone tag, why not implement conference calls and have everyone on board.
By using conference calls in your business, you can maximize your time and lower your costs. This equates to a higher efficiency, which in turn, contributes to a more successful business.

We have made use of FreeConferenceCall.com at work and it works well. Skype also has conference functionality now — not sure how well Skype video works for a conference (or if they even have video conference available). The voice quality on GoToMeeting’s VOIP service (I don’t think it is free) is outstanding, at least it was on the last call I was on–it was simply incredible.
But, I agree. Conference calling makes for great efficiency.
